Battery Runtime
Pick a battery pack and device draw to estimate runtime with a usable-capacity derate, then see how many packs and spares to bring for your show length.
Use at your own risk. Capacities and device draws are typical planning figures. Cold weather, RF TX power, brightness, and age reduce runtime. Always verify with a load test before the show.

- Runtime hours ≈ (Wh × usable_fraction) ÷ watts.
- Pack Wh presets are typical published capacities. Default derate 80%.
- Wireless TX/IEM draws vary with RF power — check the manufacturer.
What this battery calculator does
It estimates how long a pack will run a given device and how many packs to bring for a show, including a spare buffer.
Worked example
A ~9.25 Wh rechargeable mic pack at 80% usable feeding a 0.8 W TX → ≈ 9.25 h. For a 10 h show with 8 mics, plan two rotations plus spares.
FAQ
Why derate capacity?
Batteries rarely deliver full labeled Wh under load, cold, or near end of life. 70–85% usable is a common planning range.
Do AA alkaline and lithium differ?
Yes. Lithium AA typically last longer and handle high drain better.
Packing a show?
Kynetic runs RF, video, and production for corporate and medical events.
