How to use this tool
Enter one group per line: name, quantity, footprint. A fixture is never split across universes. Packing preserves your group order and moves to the next universe if the remaining channels cannot fit the next fixture.
Addresses are 1–512. End address = start + footprint − 1. Universe numbers are labels: confirm whether the console or transport displays them starting at 0 or 1. The final universe label must not exceed 63,999.
FAQ
Does it repack to minimize universes?
No. This is sequential patching, not bin-packing optimization. It preserves group order and may leave gaps at universe ends.
Is CSV safe to open in a spreadsheet?
Names beginning with spreadsheet formula characters are prefixed with an apostrophe in the CSV export. Check the patch before importing.
